How have Da Vinci code movie affected ur faith?

Da vinci code has never affected my faith. Neither do I really think there was a real attempt by the author to bring down the Christian faith. He's in it for...

Heh.. If ur faith is strong, this movie is only an entertainment. What i don't understand is why some churches in Singapore actually banned its believer from watching this film. Are they afraid that they'll derail? This movie really tests the strength of faith of christians.

Cheers.

It affirms in me the validity of this quote

Religion is the opiate of the people, period. Karl Marx.

NT2 SG

with or without Da Vinci Code...my faith goes on.

we need such perks once a while...because the Christian faith is not blind faith.

Shocked sorry, there is another C_K also,
ok, to your question, not sure why the need to ban also, just help promote the movie, but its up to individual church leadership and theirs members to decide.

I do have this for those who want to watch the movie, read the book, do dig deeper into the source of this subject, look into the facts of them, and make a informed view. If you have question about them (be it the DVC or the Christian teachings), can post them here, and we will try our best to help you find the answer.

Thanks Very Happy

It is not so much how it affects my faith, just imagine your father being a well known character, like Lee Kwong Chien or Tan Luck Sai, somebody wrote a fiction, a thriller about a young pretty girl from China, claimed she had a map leading to the location of the wealth left by your grandfather, and the girl's mother turned out be your grandfather's mistress in China...... you might not be justify to make noise if your grandfather is already known to have a few wives here and there, but what if he is very well respected by the family as a faithful hushand to your grandmother?

say all we can about knowing our faith, but I cannot support anybody who make money by fictionalizing my faith. There is no respect for the faith.

try writing a thriller portraying the founder of Falungong as the descendent of Buddha and one of his female follower in China. Evil or Very Mad

with the child?

so torturous .. baby jesus must be crying whole day during the escape to Egypt on foot.

a boat is more comfortable. Laughing

Sorry to defer, but boats were quite advanced then. In those ancient Greek stories, they already have big boats to attack other states liao.

As for small boats, I think Peter's fishing boat should suffice. I think sailing across the Mediterranian won't sink the boat?

In other parts of the world, they already have boats that can do island hopping across oceans liao.
