I don't understand what you mean by "People only take note of parts which best serve their interests. ". I use the word "should"! "Should" not equal "is"! W...

I realise in this forum, there are many "words of war". In fact, in real world, it already exists. I see that pre-believers like to ask a lot of questions, sometimes to test and challenge christians' belief; sometimes to find out more about the hope christians are claiming; and sometimes just for infomation/knowledge purposes so that they can start a topics during conversation or whatever.

Some christians who really wants to defend the faith, try their best to search for answer to defend the faith and sometimes they may unintentionally "pressure" pre-believers to accept the christian's belief. In the process of doing so, christian may have interpreted the bible wrongly and teach the wrong thing.

It is often wonderful to see people who are knowledgeable of God's words to answer our many questions.

Here is a website with over 700 answers to over 700 questions that have been asked so far. http://www.gotquestions.org/archive.html

If the FAQ section does not answer your questions, you can ask the people who are mainly volunteers and loves the Lord. They are more than willing to answer your questions. http://www.gotquestions.org/Bible-Questions.html You will receive your answer within 2 to 7 days.

In fact, there are really a lot of christian's books (and a handful may be in CDs form) out there to answer all possible questions. I would think that christianity is the only faith that has many books to answer life questions. But many choose not to read it and they remain ignorant about it, causing them not to believe. You can find those books in your local christian bookshops. Moreover, there are also many christian's websites to answer all these questions. The problem is it might not be easy for pre-believers to know which one teaches the correct thing. If one is not careful, they might be deceived by false teachers.

Hope the website given helps satisfy all your questions.

The Harvest time is nearing.

What HArvest time? Confused

jnwk SG

During harvest, farmers usually separate the good crops from the bad crops and weeds. The bad crops and weeds will be bundled and burned while the good crops will be kept.

By Harvest time, I mean God rapturing the Church from the world. To put it simply, to separate what belongs to God's and what does not belong to God.

Hope I did not explain wrongly.

Hope this helps.

You talking about the end of the wolrd and Judgement day?

jnwk SG

Hmm.... Ya, you are sort of right. I use the word "harvest" to put it sound better and for people to understand what the end of the world and Judgement day is all about. Perhaps, not many people understand what I mean. Smile

shade343 SG

hmm...oh. ok...when you say end of the world as in literally, the world cease to exist?

jnwk SG

It is not easy to interpret from the bible in what exact sequence the world will end. But there are usually two to three views. One view being the most commonly adopted view. I'm not in the position to tell you more, but I will tell you that the bible tells us there will be new earth and heaven.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21: 4).

1. why are we wasting so much time preparing for death since 1 day we will die? Laughing

2.why don't we spend more time on other things since our life span is short? Cool

3.Till now is there any man that escape death? Shocked

Icemoon SG

1. we waste time preparing for death? lol .. got meh?

3. The Bible suggested Enoch and Elijah did. Actually I admit this is debatable from the xtian pov .. the xtians die die must argue they died 'cos the two prophets are not without sins .. but Jews think otherwise.

shade343 SG

Yes. Some man dont go through Death. They go through samadhi. They dont "die".

Icemoon SG

huh .. samadhi fire?

shade343 SG

Samadhi is the term used to describe simply as the soul departing from the body. It is different from death.

Icemoon SG

the same samadhi as the samadhi fire right? they used it to burn who .. was it Nezha or Sun Wukong one.

in chinese .. san mu zhen huo?

maggot SG

In short

Stop spending time on religions, you will die anyway. Laughing

And go spend time on useful things Mr. Green

Icemoon SG

religion also useful what. very fulfilling also. they build orphanages for the poor in countries like thailand and cambodia. actually some of the tithes land up in projects like that .. consider money well spent? contrary to popular opinion, the church and pastor don't get everything. much of the money go to overseas missions too .. pay for basic allowance for our workers who go there, maintain their orphanage etc.

maggot SG

Some tithes have unfortunately landed in some personal pockets

Last sunday TNP, there's a swimming pool for priests in bukit batok? Laughing

Icemoon SG

for tithes to land up in personal pockets .. i guess it is the amount they get that is debatable .. obviously the church need to pay allowance to the pastor or priest. Like even in Catholic Church, there are senior priests and priests. Priests get like from 300 to 500 bucks? can ask the RC to confirm.

wah swimming pool for priest .. must ask the RC liao Laughing
