Roman Catholics are not even Christians. You are comparing apple with oranges.

fandango SG

it's just another website.

you cheated because you use the site of the Greek Orthodox Church.

Honeybunz SG

That is called "cheated"???

Hello???

You haven't even told me what website is that and on what ground do you trust what it says. It looks more like a cartoon or comic kinda website, not to be taken seriously kinda stuff.

Can you read something more concrete rather than just pluck any URL and paste here?

Greek church has centuries of history and you relate them with cheating????

The straightdope that you quoted, how old is it?
founded in 1973?

fandango SG

you did delcare it was a not a Catholic website.

to be fair, i gave you link to a super-duper non-christian website.

if you want something to be taken seriously, i can provide you with many.

Honeybunz SG

And so you quoted something from this Cecil Adam???

Hello?

Dun you have any church documents or something? Rolling Eyes

So does that mean I can quote something from Dilbert comic?

Hello?

ben1xy SG

erm.. i dun think anybody thinks the Pope gives salvation.
It's only through Jesus

ben1xy SG

seriously... What sgmacross say is what they teach in RCIA

i am a cradle catholic and most of my catholic friends have the view of SGMacross

ben1xy SG

a question: so if i am a catholic and i agree that MAry doesn't give salvation. Only Jesus does. is that ok with u? or will u still reject me as a Christian?

Icemoon SG

Have you read Vatican II?

haha .. this is a good read - http://www.truecatholic.org/

ben1xy SG

erm... page error

ben1xy SG

but seriously.. i am curious whether fandago rejects me as a fellow brother in christ

Icemoon SG

it is ok leh .. u try again?

SingaporeMacross SG

They are schismatics. Don't even begin to take them seriously.

ben1xy SG

lol... i dunno but i can't access it!!!

fandango SG

i will have to reject you as a "fellow brother".

a "brother in Christ" of mine will have Jesus Christ as our sole mediator.
a "brother in Christ" of mine will have nothing to do with the Vatican
a "brother in Christ" of mine will not revere Mary in a divine manner

ben1xy SG

u r definately entitled to that opinion. but many of my Christians friends thankfully dun think that way.

1 more thing i would like to ask; i guess u know Mother Theresa pretty well right? what do u think of her deeds? humanly possible? or divine providence? will u reject her as a sister-in-Christ too?

You're a Christian and u r in no way obliged to believe. but what about the miracles that happen so often in the Catholic Church? a big hoax?

What abt the many matyrs of the Catholic Church? or Saint Augustine that Christian so often like to quote? or the many religious nuns and monks that lead a life in dedication to God. Do u reject them too?

i am not being sacarstic? i sincerely want to know the answers.

As a Catholic, i do treat Christians as my fellow brothers n sisters in Christ though.

Icemoon SG

Depending on how you see it .. God or Satan is preventing you from accessing. Mr. Green

ben1xy SG

i will choose the former thank u!
