Rockhound SG i am speechless by ure questions.....its by luck to be a medic....there is no perfect formula on being a medic...u think juz bcos u read bks ppl will let u be a medic?... being selected is all by luck maybe with some nursing background u cud have a higher chance....but in my experience..there is no perfect formula of being selected into being a medic... all this is up to the gods of CPC...

Unidentified SG ok , i found out from my friend , the name of the drug is known as ''Sulfonamide'' the details are here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulfonamide_%28medicine%29
Rockhound SG oooh... well medics in singapore are pretty outdated compared to their US counterparts now... there have been advances in battlefield medicine that a medic can administer...but that would mean that medics in the SAF most undergo a longer training stint.... i gez its the lack of trust on an nsf medic..but i dunno...its the so-called culture that gives the SAF the medics that they have today and it takes alot to convince them that the Medic Vocation is important...period... it will take the whole army a long time for it to mature to what it is supposed to be..... i wouldnt recommend anyone signing on as a medic spec..period....SCDF would be a better choice but u are prone to occupational burnout
RvnRooRon84 SG To become a Paramedic in SCDF, you need to go through three levels namely Level 1, Level 2 & Level 3. Currently, SCDF future paramedics go through their Level 1 together with the Combat Medic Course run by SAF. From Level 2 onwards, SCDF conducts thier own course (but still held at SMTI).
nullifi3d SG finally after 11 weeks i pass out as a medic tomorrow. Just hope CPC dosen't screw me over. XD.
