k2406 SG My eczema flares up whenever I sweat in long4/SBO/FBO for long periods, go outfield, during and after route march... Haha I'm C9L9 permanent, but it makes no difference since I'm still stuck in that hellhole of a camp... And all the chiong sua combatants are going to start flaming me when they see this...but even as a clerk, life there really really stinks big time. Anyway I'm not exactly from infantry...let's just say that where I'm from, they call themselves elite infantry. People call them wannabe and underpaid commandos...
gd4u SG Before enlistment, i thought, NS could be tt bad lar ... after enlistment ... i sometimes do wonder why the hell am i doing this ... but then, do the SAF style lor, LLST ...
Unknown_X SG ppl from 3sir generally ok what. which coy u at? lol. if B, good luck. most saikang of all coys.
SpecOps87 SG Hmm...quite an eye-opener to read the accounts of so many of you lao jiaos. Well..Maybe I shall start a blog someday...my Pre-enlistment letter just came and I'm feeling rather garang. Super kan chiong to register and book medical. Even jio a few of my friends to book the same date and time for the medical. Hoping very much to get into command school and am actually going for workout after work at my attachment company. Hoping to buff up...haha. Siao on right?Well..hope that I can keep this positive attitude and mentality throughout bah.
k2406 SG haha...good for you. i also sincerely hope you can keep it up. actually to me, army's not a good time to buff up esp. if you are chiong sua combatant. always go outfield not condusive for building muscle. at my camp the buff ones are actually the storemen...haha.
Gordonator SG it's good that u have a positive attitude. it's half the battle won. but my advice to u is, don't be too garang, generally most NSFs aren't that garang so try to blend in, BMT is a great time to make friends trust me. i believe many of the lao jiaos here agrees with me right? just be yourself, do your part, do your best, help the others. don't wayang, don't sabo. enjoy your BMT, make it a good memory.
Unknown_X SG bmt was fun, unit was better. best is to try and blend in. agree with that. my bmt buddies all also nv contact me liao. dunno wtf happened to them.
Gedanken SG Amen. I fought it at the start, but after a while I figured that one way or another I was stuck there for two and a half years, so I may as well enjoy the ride and maybe learn a thing or two while I was at it. I came out of it with a strong sense that there wasn't any situation i couldn't handle, and it turned out to be some of my time best spent.
gd4u SG Lol, my best buddies were found in some place called SISPEC (BSLC), where everyone was rather committed and chipped in even though it sux big time. Prior to that, or even after bslc, i couldn't find that feeling ... But, at least, BMT was still ok ...
Short Ninja SG When I was in SAF I met and saw all kinds of people so I learned a lot about myself in the process. This was the best thing I got from the army.
Unknown_X SG combat soldiers are more bonded together. i clerk la, but i find that my office quite close. cuz we got 2 common enemies. lol. but rarely u see stay out clerks who will stay back on friday and work till 10+pm folding letters cuz of some dxos mistake. and the dxo force her 3 clerks to stay back and fold 3000+ letters. so we decided to help out.
hisoka SG you want to earn so little that you cannot even support yourself not to say your family forever?
