Let me tell my story can? I was... having the worst time in NS. Yes. Always arrowed, because some people didn't like me. And when the top brass don't like you you are in deep trouble because you complain you kena even more.

But I took it in my stride.. I was angry, and am still pretty angry at some things that happened, but I always remind myself that I am NOT serving the sergeant, encik, the officer or the general.. I am a soldier for THE COUNTRY.

Lousy leaders do not make a lousy military. The majority of the army is>>officers or privates? And no matter how lousy, unreasonable, UNFAIR the military may be, don't forget that YOU are NOT lousy, unreasonalbe or UNFAIR. You are not in the same category. You are a MODEL SOLDIER. Whatever nonsense they dish out, you TAKE. And that says alot about you. Laugh at your encik or sergeant in private, knowing that you are SUPERIOR TO HIM. His "bullying" is because he has LOW self-esteem. You have HIGH self-esteem. Why should allow yourself to get affected by such a person? You can take anything he can give!

Threadstarter, try using this mindset for one week and see if things improve ok?

Now, if you look at my rank you will faint.
(I know I posted alot of weird posts in the SAF forum asking weird questions about the GDS and CDOs. This is not because I don't know due to my rank-it is more of a "I didn't have the time to find out". I was too busy doing my job to engage in chit-chat. And I also speak Cantonese, not Hokkien, so some things are just beyond my language scope.)

the MO is the 1 who is fit to say u keng anot, not ur direct commanders.

n oso... i didnt noe if u recourse bmt need to serve for 4 yrs.
obviously the pple giving u info r all giving u false info.
even if u recourse.. it's all within 2 yrs of ur NSF life.

If you are really in such a bad state give me you unit and I will ask my friend to take a look at your situation. I don't believe that there change parades are still conducted. If anyone orders you to do an unreasonable task ONCE, just swallow it down. If it's on a daily basis, I reiterate. Give me you unit and I will ask my friend to try and look into your situation personally.

I have given you an option. Give me your unit and I will try and look into your problem. (you can PM me if you wish)
If you refuse my offer, I don't see what whining here will do for you, so please spare my blood pressure and leave this thread.

Firstly, I believe you have not served a day of NS. Let me know if I'm wrong.

Secondly, if there is something serious going-on, have you reported it to the relevant people? They can help you instead of your constant flaming. Please post in a considerate and neat manner so that people can understand what you are saying.

If they have replied, please do not continue to repeat your initial point. Your behavior would have gotten you banned in other military forums or suspended for infractions. We are all not here 24/7, so post wisely and take the time to read what others have to say.

Actually, recruits are the not the lowest life-forms in the entire SAF. There’s still someone called the OCT.

AhJun, if you missed my post I say one more time, I am willing to help you. Help you internally within the SAF and not give you suggestions from the outside. If you are uncomfortable telling me where you are from and your problems, you can PM me. I will listen and try to help.

If you are a pre-enlistee than just stop worrying until you enter BMT. Change parades and all the funny stuff have been out since 1995 (I think). About the only parade you have left is water parade, and even that, people are not THAT unreasonable. (Unless, maybe, you happened to be THAT suay like me).

Nothing to worry.

If you have ORD, Iand are angry about something, tell us the specific thing you are angry about. That will make it to understand your point, rather than talking about the whole big spectrum. But frankly, what's the point? Let bygones be bygones.

Mono intake=Guards, NDU, CDO, specialised units. Training is much more vigorous than BMT.

To me, WELFARE means preparing the soldiers as a team (platoon, company, battalion and so on) to achieve the objectives during operations, not just survive through. There are many interpretations how to do it, since not many have been involved in actual operations. Many tends to think that pushing to the limit is the way, and I certainly don't blame them. Of course, there are also some senior ranks who do not know what they are doing.
