Possible to go on overseas tour during NS?

It's not that bad, what you are kinda indicating is as if everyone is out to get you. Typically, most people couldn't care less if extra one day or mc or whatever, unless you blacklisted and then everyone want to target you jia liat jia liat.

I always buddy with my commanders previously, so I never worried.

Try to let your boss/superior know from that foreign place, at least they will know what has happened and won’t mistakenly label u as AWOL.

on the above points it is stated in the MP-GOMs... my notes are back in singapore but here's what i remember....

To go overseas, service personnel MUST take leave OR off if the overseas travel is for non-service related reasons.

Service personnel's leave or off does not equate to having an exit permit which must be applied separately.

Some units insists that you apply leave even if you actually don't need to.

On foreign MCs, there is a directive that permits service personnel to submit foreign MCs. But it must clearly bear issuing clinic, address and doctor's name. Doctor must be registered to practice in that country (duh).

'off' cannot go overseas leh... Confused

if less than 48 hrs, you dont need an exit permit. JB or Malacca should be fine..

Volunteer for all those overseas exercises, e.g. Lancer, Crescendo, Starlight. Then you get to travel for free. Twisted Evil
