Thats really irresponsible lor...to acutally load and ready when the RO is instructing and explaining. You are no longer a kid and that being your 1st time experience with a firearm although it is a simulation,but safety is still safety. If you can itchy finger,load and ready in IMT, I say that you deserve to be taught a lesson before you ever go on the live range and kill someone because you fingers are itchy and u decided to load and ready and even squeeze the trigger. Take it as a lesson learnt...as although I have yet to serve NS. was previously in NCC, and have had a loaded although IAed M16 pointed roughly in my direction before.And I almost shit my pants.

That kookoo before firing,his weapon kena double-feed.Did not safe the weapon and raise his hand for assistance, and being an assistant I was behind him on the right.He swung his weapon backwards with finger still in trigger guard, and shouted,"Sir,weapon IA!" The SAF 2LT. RO luckily was there, he snatched the weapon and farked that guy up. This goes to show how important proper firearm training is.

No wonder you are so anxious about being a Pl. I/C or about extras. So you are a regular... what did you sign on as?

If I'm the PC I would have given you confinement instead of extras, cos there's not much guard duty to do in BMT. Razz Take note, misfiring is a very serious offence since other mother's son's life is at stake. It maybe just IMT, but we should always take note of safety. If you are signing on as Officer, don't ever misfire in OCS. It's not gonna be fun.

Anyway, with regards to your other thread, having IPPT Gold doesn't mean anything. Smile

not sure if the thread starter missed out certain information regarding bringing wet tissue for training.

to me, the issue is not the wet tissue, but the bringing of contraband items to training. if civilian items have been disallowed for training, then any item found would cause the person to be liable for punishment, unless specific excuse has been given.

of course, if this policy has not been made clear in the first place, then the management is at fault too.

Guys... its my fault, my PC did specify cannot bring commercial items... btw i can speak now coz i attend C today. On day 2, someone was caught bringing chocolate, all the instructors damn angry morning ask us fall in, tekan till veri jialat, then while we are in KID(knock it down) position, he ask the guy who brought chocolate to eat them infront of us tryin to make us angry.

Then we had an inspection. I am a very slow and blur person, at the moment, i stil think wet tissue is okay. I laid my wet tissue beside my SBO, my sergent, (2SG Nicholas btw as Rockhound know him) glance through my stuff on the floor, his eyes bypass my wet tissue which is NTUC brand green white packaging in colour, and he did not scold or do anthing. At that moment, i assumed chocolate is a nono coz its edible, wet tissues is fine.

For the next few days, some of my frens did warn me, and had shocked faces whenever i took them out especially instructors are nearby, i just sae "Its ok wan lar" and the stories continue in my first post...

Btw u guys mention ADF kena 27 extras... whats ADF?

tissue is perfectly alright IF you are in unit.

I believe everyone knows that the standard combat rations, inside got a utilities pack where there are solid fuels, matchboxes, blah blah AND ALSO A PACKET OF TISSUE...remember all the lao jiaos?

maybe cuz you in BMT, anyway if your PC dunno anyhow tekan means that he himself never goto unit before, just pass out from OCS only, never go mission, exercises, or outfield etc..so sua ku.... Laughing

otherwise, he just want to train you all lah...as recruits is the super lowest rank, so should start from basic and learn essential stuffs, not indulged in commercial stuff like chocolates, tissues etc.. Mr. Green

i knew an OCT who sign extras but couldn't clear all of them before his commissioning parade. ends up he clear his remaining extras as a 2LT, as Duty Officer. Laughing
