i suggest you do downgrade, and change to a service vocation. i
was like you initially. during my bmt stages, it was very bad. the
pain only stopped after half a year, after i OOTed, loboed around
in some units. got into a service vocation and finally managed to
rest my feet that i realised it.
the bloody combat boots also aggravates the bloody problem. wearing
them seems to make the pain come faster, i'm not exaggerating when
i say that i cannot stand for more than a minute without feeling
pain in combat boots.
my case was a little special, because other than flat foot, my
ligaments were also torned and i had bone spurs on both my heel
bones. the pain didn't go away after removing the spur, but it was
lessened by a lot. probably due to the fact that it was pointing
upwards, piercing directly into the shin bone.
