punishing officers in any armed force would sounds very wierd,

for serious cases, they will be demoted.

for not so serious cases, they must just be "scolded" or signing extras?

it's all about the rank.

and in life nothing is fair.

unfairness is what makes life so interesting also, think about it.

and the more fair u try to get, it becomes even more unfair.

my friend says complaining to higher ups serve no purpose, because they will protect their subordinates and will make you the target of their “abuses”.. how true is dat, no ideas.

yah..the higher up will scold the middle and the middle will scold the lower loh.

but one thing that is differences is in real life , if i not happy i can quit my job leh. in army i ask u arh...if u are not happy can u quit your army job? cannot right? so must lan lan suck thumb and tahan loh. and those superior think they so great in army...command so much power , so what? in outside life..they are like crap.

Double standards exist everywhere. It is worst in Singapore’s institutions because we aren’t even democratic. Having done my bit for Singapore as a conscript, I noticed a lot of unpleasantries prevalent among the commanders. From then on, I made up my mind never to vote PAP in any GE. In a free country, we are able to sell information to the tabloids so they can do an expose on unsavoury practices our bosses indulge in.

in a fair world, everyone gets the same opportunity, everyone gets a fair share of wealth, everyone get the same thing.

then,

where is the fun of living your life ?

humans are powered by emotions/feeling, that is one of the biggest factor affecting fairness.
