you will see salutes where there are officer cadets. Wink

Tekong is the only place where 3SGs get saluted by blur recuits.

It was also where some cadets get their first salute... One of my wingmates was saluted by a bunch of recruits while at the Tekong Medical Centre, wearing his yellow outfield CWSM rank... Mr. Green

i nv salute a single officer after i get out of bmt. Not even a 3 crab juz address them sir can already. What for salute to them, we r all human… What for salute to those regular officers, without our contribution to the tax money, they can’t get a job in SAF, some more its the men n nsf tat keep the organisation running, wat for salute them, they should salute us instead.

Same here.I only salute as part of a ceremonial parade.Better to have personnel that get the job done than have some ball-carrier saluting you everywhere you go.

i'll salute only CPTs and above, including the general in my camp, my CEO, COA, CDF and all COLs driving in in their MID cars. Wink

as for those 1 bar, 2 bars, sorry i can't go around saluting all of u right? even if complain, i don't think anyone will care. Laughing

speaking of this, a fren once told me he ever saw a 1 bar scream at a WO for not greeting or saluting him and asked him to knock it down Laughing

That's not right. But it's highly unlikely that a 1 bar will ask warrant to knock it down, or even scold him for not greeting. It just doesn't happen. You got see even SSG knock it down for any reason at all? unless on ranger course or wat, i dunno lar.

Anyway, paying compliments to superiors is for ownself welfare. What for because of ego or wat refuse to greet people, or salute offr... then when finally somebody complain, you blame the fella... say he not worthy of your respect. Courting trouble only, isnt it??

To all those in service now: do yourself a service. You show proper respect to people, and less trouble will come your way. FOR YOUR OWN GOOD only, if nothing else.
