Actually the backing is for members of 7SIB, including non-guards vocation.

All other guardsmen outside of 7SIB wear the khaki Guards beret without backing, and are still regarded part of the formation or Guards family. (we still have to pass Guards IPPT standards)

i should say that the green is too light and i just have 1 set of no.4 (very season) just nice for that. the green, black and brown match very well.

i think i know what hat you have now. for my cap and hat, both have 2 layer.

the hat has 2 layered on the side wall and as for the cap, the whole thing is in 2 layered. there is an extension where you can bring it down and cover your ear. the inner part of that extension is made up of wools.

form no... hahaaa... SAF 1367A/92/SAFEC. I think the SAF 1263A is a smaller size.

Mr. Green that belt is like RQMS, QM and S4 treasure. i think oni my RSM had one. the rest of us were chase by RQMS to return to store. Laughing

the jungle hat also has 2 layers just like the cap? then mine is different.. the one i have is the one commonly used by recce personnel locally (but not the SAF issued condom hat).
