once you're a parachutist qualified, you don't have to go
through another training before getting to jump in foreign
land.
it's a standard international practice to award military
parachutist badges to those foreign guys who jump in their
land.
you should see those US SF guys, some of them have tons of foreign
military parachutist badges, just that they don't put on most of
them.
every jump to a parachutist will hv a different amosphere, no
matter where he jumps.
stronger wind? there's a wind speed limit for a parachutist to jump
during peace time.
with full combat equipment and jump at 800 ft, it takes only abt 30
sec from the door of the plane to the ground. after exit the plane,
the chute opens, and after doing a check on the status, the next
thing you know is the gound is rushing towards you.... so abt the
control of your parachute, no time lah...
regarding get the foreign wing in local, during my time, we had a
combine training with the US SF, after which we had a combine
airborne operation.
at the end of the ex, we award each other with the Airbrone Badges
in recognize of the combine training n airborne operation.
this was how my company got this foreign Airbrone Badges in
local.
hope this clearifies some of the questions.
