hunter SG our rank estab changes in times of war. eg. a quartemaster during peace time may only be a full lieutenant but during war time, his estab rank will be captain. same for our battalion and division commanders.
kopiosatu SG if there is going to be a world war, there will be 5 stars. don't just think about the local military... 5 stars will be taking on the region
gasband SG to qualify to be a 4 star general, he must have be involved in a war before…dun noe true or not..heard from my encik last time..
Joshua1975 SG true, even PS, CSM, PC, OC, CO, Br Comd, Div Comd, COA, CDF all will move up in rank if they are not by estab.
wuming78 SG ok ok… 4 star 5 star 50 star as long as its starred generals we can talk about it here. please… make love, not war.
gary1910 SG I dun think it is totally true, I remember reading the death of the last US 5 stars General on the papers in either 70s or 80s, a WW2 veteran. It show a photo of him siiting in some conference with 5 stars on his shoulder, when the picture was taken , I believe it is already peace time then. Aha, found the link : http://www.military-historians.org/company/journal/five-star/fivestar.htm
