Maya061 SG seems like a day trip cos you got loadsa facilities to climb, eh ? when it comes to climb here you gotta be prepare for everything. usually the small mountains ard 3 days. middle ard. 5 days. and big ones (like mt. jaya wijaya at irian, has snow on top of it) will take weeks. and not to mention you gotta have legal docs and escort fr indonesian army (there are still rebelions who live in the mountain, so you might get kidnapped). not to mentions sumatera mountains still have tigers... if you go to sumatera, can go to danau gunung tujuh (seven lake's mt.). it's a lake surrounded by seven mountains. gosh.. it's beautiful. or to mt. argopuro (at east java), the most lovely mountain i've ever climb. there are edelweiss savana, beautiful lake, and a pricess (trengganis) cemetary on top of it. you'll feel as if you're nothing compares to all of this God creation. amazing.. hey.. gunung tahan seems so interesting. i'd love to go there if possible. would you be my guide then ? we can swap photos if i visit yr country, k ? God creation... all beautiful and you'll feel grateful that you've seen them.. btw.. it's nice to know that you have the same interest with me..

sillyme SG u really interested in going tahan? must let me know in advance yeah? must plan leave and maybe ask my friends along.. me be your guide? i'm underqualified.. besides, the park rules are that we must have a park guide if we were to go.. which is a good thing.. ours was very experience.. and he "flies" when he walks.. hehe.. danau gunung tujuh sounds like heaven... i've been looking for places to climb other than those in malaysia.. so now my turn to ask.. would u be my guide? i've heard of rebels still in the forest and such.. that's why dare not venture there, plus the tigers.. how did u manage? oh, i'm also delighted to find someone with a common interest wish we'd met earlier.. at least back then i was fitter and more willing to climb
Maya061 SG yeah.. very interested. but i think if we really (i hope it will) go someday, we must have a few weeks excersice so we'll be fit during our journey. if not, i'd be faint liao.. i know how tired and exhausted to climb a mt. and you really must have good companion (i mean a trusted friends) when go climbing. 'cos ppl tend to show their true habit (sometimes it's not a good habit ) in such situation. yeah.. can go with some friends, must be really nice. i can't wait to see you liao.. when you go to indo, i'll take you try paragliding and rafting (if the weather is ok). climbing will need loadsa praparation here. but hey.. i can ask my friend to accompany us to mt. in west java (not too tall and still very nice), only takes 3 days. fortunatelly.. i haven't (and hope i won't) meet any tigers. we only saw their scars on some trees. at least we know each other now. i hope we really able to meet someday (soon). have you eat yr lunch ? i just had. a plate of fried kway teow - i guess the spelling is wrong.. .
sillyme SG aww.. flattered u want to see me of cos, it'd be wonderful to meet you in person paragliding!!!!!!! i've been dreaming to do that.. how much does it costs? a climbing indeed can see everybody's true colour... the trip we went tahan.. we went with a few of my juniors... wah when they are tired, they really cannot think properly.. then they start to turn lazy.. end up we had to push them on and take care of them.. you spelt your lunch properly.. i'm still doing some stuff.. so gotta finish up before i go
Maya061 SG i have some friends who are the instructors of paragliding. and i also already can jump solo but i think i must re-take the course now, since year 2000 was my last jump. i's not expensive to do tandem here. but if you wanna jump solo, must take the course. i think it's abt S$ 300. i'll take you try if you're here, k ? it's fun up there and things are small small down there. can see tea fields all ard. it. when tired.. i could be lazy too lor.. and zhen de ma fan.. i even had a fight with my friend (a guy) up there, wah.. really bad leh. but some guys were sooo nice, very patient and funny. better take yr lunch now.. i gotta back to work.. *sigh*
