houndy SG

ok lah….not bad a show… hmmm…

monkeybusiness SG

havnt watch it yet
planning to download it and watch it at home..haha
dunnit any money one and if not nice, can delete... so convenient Mr. Green

arrggh SG

Not exactly. My friend is paid a little more than S$2k and he is a HKU graduate. I think they pay the policemen so well because of the higher inherent risk in their job. We always hear of shootout and gang fights in HK and the dangers posed to the policemen there are real.

houndy SG

We here it in singapore often, but i think the people have not much balls to face our SOC... :p

huaiwei SG

Alright here is a short verdict before I make a more detailed "report" after more have watched it...

Well if you have at least read a little reviews on it, the synopsis, and the trailers, you might have expected the movie to be littered with cop corpses.

I would just say that you will be dissapointed if that is what you want to see! Very Happy

malcolmloke SG

This guy is mad

Still awake at 5 plus in the morning

qazplm SG

Indeed I strongly believe that their pay are higher due to the involvement and high risk in their job. Mr. Green

Kaczynski SG

Hi,
Hmmm but to my knowledge, 3 pips is NOT Senior Inspector but Chief Inspector( * * * )... (Senior Insp is 2 pip, 1 bar.. | * * )

Perhaps he was given either a promotion towards the end of the show or whether it was a glitch in the show I really donno..

Edited post to include the link
http://www.info.gov.hk/police/hkp-home/english/recruitment/pro.htm

Kaczynski SG

Yup...and funny to mention that they dun have an equivalent of a CPL..

I remember they DID used to have a LCP (one stripe equivalent) but i donno why nv display..

houndy SG

Never did bother what rank they hold.. hahha…

malcolmloke SG

Maybe they also change their rank structure? SPF used to have LCPL too? Very Happy

Anyway, not too sure if HK police still address their PC by their service numbers? Like what we see on movies?
