Hi everyone, i'm new here. i just happened to stumble across this forum. and coincidentally i will be posted to BRTC on 9th Oct 07. i was just wondering if there are any others out there who will be enlisting on that day too?!

feeling kinda scared/sian/excited to be enlisting.. HAHA Razz

oh yah one more thing, how long will the BRTC be for pes Bp? and can pes Bp be in ERS?

thanks guys... well... i was hoping to be in ERS, but since it won't be a possibility, then i would most likely want to be an ambulance crew or medic... have always been interested in medics though... Laughing

Actually pes BP can go ERS. You just have to work hard and upgrade to pes A or B.

Medic is super good but provided you're being attached to station...i'm a medic myself too

yeah... but if you wanna laze around, can become hospital medics. do nothing shit and see nurses all day long but damn boring. good for those who wanna slack in NS. station medic is the best. very exciting.

i suggest you gun for station medic. very exciting!!

but i think the pay not as much as ERS though.

if you're more interested in more pay, ERS is the way to go.

Heard that your learnt skills during the medic course will be wasted if you're a hospital medic as you'll nvr get to put them into use & also heard that they do not have the extra allowance as well Rolling Eyes

Don't worry, almost all enlistees will have the same feeling as what you're going thru & I remembered that I'm one of them but rest assured that everything will be fine when you've settled down & get used to the life in CD Wink

Hi, care to share why you're in the pes C9 L2 classification? Although, I nvr came across the stated pes being posted as medics but you may try to "appeal" to get your desired vocation but then again, it all depends on the upper authorities...well, if become clerk, then most likely lots of paperwork are waiting for you...

Well... is it at the end of the training at brtc, we are able to choose the vocation we wan to go?? but the end results depend on the higher authorities? so interesting...

I see but if they find you fit for the selected vocation that you choose, then you might stand a chance of getting the vocation you desired & actually most of the vocations that you want to go after the BRTC phase, you need to go thru an interview 1st whereby the interviewer will ask you some questions & from there they will select from the bunch...well, hope that answers your queries & feel free to ask if there's any further doubts & I'll try to answer them if I can Wink

Not a prob & for me well I did brought my mp3 player in but it was the super cheapskate type so as to avoid being stolen but if it really was stolen then I won't feel so bad about it...fyi you can only use it after your training hrs are over & if you bring, plz be prepared to accept full responsibility for your valuable items...
