yea, a merger is very possible in our lifetime.
even if the economy gets back up to its feet, the middle east
airlines which copied SQ's strategy to a certain extent will serve
to pose a huge threat to them, simply because of geographic
location, and that is something that SQ cannot change.
SQ will not merge.
Reason? Coz they have their name to uphold, and SQ is an airline
that will do anything to protect its name. Merging will just bring
the standards(what people perceive SQ to be) down...
