Yes, it is still a pity. I think Solo was one of the most interesting characters in the Star Wars saga.

yes. what makes the original trilogy so classic and memorable are the characters themselves. nuke, han solo, princess leia, chewbacca, C3PO, obiwan, vader etc etc. Mr. Green

Likewise, some threads in sgforums do suck. Smile

although it's impossible to see han solo in episode III as he will be too young. but maybe towards the end of the movie, they can dedicate a few minutes showing the aftermath of the clone war. example, vader and the emperor building the death star, luke and princess leia growing up and of course, han solo's meeting with chewbacca. Mr. Green

Wasn't really thinking of having that in Episode III. Was thinking more along the lines of an animated Episode III.V similar to "Clone Wars". Or a spin-off like "The Scorpion King". Just musing. Smile

According to fan-lore, Qui-Gon was killed in action whereas Obi-wan and Yoda gave up their lives (and bodies) to be one with the Force.

Darth Vader's death was more contentious because he apparently became one with the Force as well when he died -- evident from the last scene in "Return of the Jedi". Some fans defended that he wasn't dead yet when Luke was with him, he could have given up his life after Luke left to flee from the new Death Star.
