just need to be strong and put their foot down. my sis did just
that.
it turned out to be like our usual family dinner - 2 tables in a
private room in a chinese restaurant in a hotel. full stop.
for friends, a separate garden tea party.
Oh I had the dinner to make my grandma happy
If not I would have had 2 tables only. If my grandma was not
around I would have gotten away with a holiday wedding I think.
Anyway, that was the most I was willing to compromise.
Basically I told my parents in very polite terms that I will not
entertain dramatic and hissy relatives and they can go F themselves
if they feel that we have to accomodate their personal dramas.
Seriously I don't know what is wrong with those ppl. It's a
happy occassion for 2 ppl and they have to carry their baggage
around with them.
