what's making me hesitate is that the D5000 doesn't have an
in-built autofocus motor..
the D60 doesn't too right?
so lenses like 50mm, i have to do manual focus...
but since it comes with the kit lens, and i've got a 18-200mm,
should be okay.. the 50mm can pull out when i decide to go back to
basics 
Yeah..... the D60 is more of an entry-level DSLR for n00bs like
me.....
It doesn't have its own autofocus motor, all
right.....
So all things considered, that D5000 would certainly be a much
better deal than my D60....
