choco, that's what my mom did. 
She
pinched my nose till early Primary when I would yell in protest
cause she'd catch me unawares then spring a surprise
nose-pinch! 
Dad was worse... he'd chase me round the house with a wooden
clothes peg because he says pinching the nose with a clothes peg is
more 'effective' than mom's finger pinching. 
As you can all see, none of the two methods worked! Neh
neh neh!!
