Rare animals rekindle a barnyard past

Wow this is one majestic looking horse!!!!!

Yeah!! The horse looks like a pai kia horse... reminds me of those ku wak zai (Cantonese) movies that Ekin Cheng and Nicholas Tse used to star in, or even Japanese action movies, where it's common for the male leads to sport long fringes covering one eye. Didn't know that pai kia horses exist, sporting the same look some more!!

I think the horse in the 2nd photo looks like it's posing. It looks like a Metrosexual Horse!

Rhonda SG

You know what, how can you guys look at the cute sheep and think of lamb chops?!!

Tare, you'd better hide your Bubbles in case they look at him, and think of Stewed Dog Meat!

the Bear SG

mmm... 香肉

but then when i look at sheep and lamb, i don't think of lamb chops.. i think of gyros and souvlaki...

elindra SG

To be accurate I think of MM's Lamb Chops

It's been a while since we had an outing there :x

the Bear SG

looking at the horse, suddenly.. i thought: horse sashimi...

Mospeada SG

i shall go and eat mutton satay this coming saturday

NO!!! Please don't do that... If you ever been around horses you'd find they're very kind creatures, just like dogs! How can you bear to do that? I'm sure you're against eating dog meat, no?

I've been around horses

I know they are nice creatures but that doesn't mean that I don't think about eating them

Sheep are nice creatures so are pigs and chickens and ducks. I eat them.

And as for dogs, as long as they are not my pet, I'll eat them too

I am against the stupid BS that some animals are more equal than others.

"Oh you should not eat it coz it's cute/intelligent/etc"

The only animals I won't eat are those going extinct or threatened

If I'm against eating animals, I'll go vegetarian but that is not going to happen

newcomer SG

I'm not against eating agricultural products. Dosmeticated chickens, pigs, ducks are ok to consume IMHO as they provide sustenance and help maintain the economy.

Horses are slaughtered for their meat when they're too old to work or sustained serious injuries during their race career. It makes me sad to think of that. For me, it is not morally sound to consume horse meat based on these emotions. Yes, I feel for them, so what?

Mospeada SG

ok...then we shall breed Dosmeticated horses...

the Bear SG

lambs.. cute defenceless loveable trusting little lambs.. delicious

we're part of this movement... PETA

So you feel for them but do you need to shove your feelings down my throat?

I think that eating them is ok, so what?

It's the same thing

Even if humans don't eat them, they get processed into petfood. Think of it this way that even in their death, they are still contributing to the ecosystem. I think it is not morally sound to waste.

newcomer SG

I think that's a strong word to use, that I'm shoving my feelings down your throat?

Oh well, this argument can go on if we continue at it.

I rather see it as a debate than argument

It's effectively 2 different school of thoughts
