that was the golden era of Singapore soccer ........ I think the only reason we got kicked out was cos they were sore losers ........

If I remember correctly.... there was a huge wave of arrests among the Malaysian teams due to widespread corruption.

And then FAM accused us of 'not doing enough' to stop football corruption.... never mind about the infamous Michael Vana saga.

I guess they find it hard to believe that our team can indeed have little corruption compared to their teams. Laughing

Singapore soccer was never the same after that ... it all went downhill from there, after a while, I stopped following local soccer .....

I followed the S-League and Geylang United for a while after that.

But I eventually lost interest.... it just doesn't seem the same, watching two local teams slug it out at Bedok stadium instead of seeing the Singapore team fight the likes of Selangor or Kedah at Kallang.

sadly the only things people remember now about local football now is the corruption by the PRC asswipe and Noh Alam Shah's assault...
