I once knew of a floating guest house lodge for sale in
kanchanaburi once .... just down the road from the death railway
..... the backpacker traffic was great .... the only concern was
the mozzies at night .... I stayed there a few times ... drinking
cold beer and smoking on the "verandah" to keep the mozzies away
.... talking to the swedish and german girls in the next room
....
about S$25k lock stock and barrel together with the small resturant
on land ..... damm ! .... 
if you're looking to retire and get away from it all ... that'll be
an option ....
