the_don SG i think i was not clear. sorry for confusing you the church wedding + signing of marriage cert cannot be done at where I go for service as the premises is like a rented auditorium. i was trying to have a 'church wedding' minus the 'church building' by having it at the beach. wanted to invite pastor and worship team to rasa by the beach and hold the whole walk down, signing paper thing. the noisy vs quiet thing is about the chinese tradition of havin jie meis at the door and the groom 'cheonging' in to get the bride. TX and I do not like that cos very noisy. but my parents like it cos they can get all the relatives to gather and they can do their old folks get to together thing. my mum says 'wo jie nu er, wu zi leng qing qing. hao xiang bu dui leh' oh well. bleah

FULLSTOP! tat's almost wat i did with mine.. i decided everything then informed my parents, tat's it.... i just tell them wat time to come tat's it... but put it nicely, i told them i dun want them to worry so much

the_don SG Updates Wedding Location - set Bridal Studio - set Things that can go wrong - set! Went to the stylewedding wedding bash at swissotel on sunday. totally FELL IN LOVE with the set up. they got black tables with red table runners & black chair covers. even the napkins are black tied with red ribbon. their ballrooms got very high celling which is very good for special design backdrops. the whole feel is so class, so grand, so quirky, SO AWESOME!!! the price difference is only $30 per table. i'm so gonna cry
choco B SG Hi Don I hope you manage to find a happy compromise for that pastor thing. It is quite a fix. As for the Swissotel decor, best not to view too many of other options since you've already made a choice The coulda-woulda-shoulda's can kill ! I actually think it's a blessing in disguise that Swissotel is no longer a viable option for you, because I can foresee a disagreement over the black decor from the traditionalists in the family
