the Bear SG keep corked wine on its side.. keeps the cork moist.. and hey.. i've got a very nice one which i bought recently.. you can have it
fudgester SG I need 15cc's of atropine sulphate and another 10cc's worth of norepinephrine!!! Nurse... charge up the defibrillator!!!!!
Meia Gisborn SG No need so complicated one. Just pour me a glass of root beer and I'll be okay! So, did you score any new phone numbers from your female work colleagues at Sentosa?
fudgester SG Not phone numbers... but MSN addresses. Anyway, I didn't just go for the ladies, of course... I made quite a few good friendships with the guys there as well. I strive to keep in touch with them as much as possible.
Meia Gisborn SG Yah, this is true. Don't want to burn any bridges, plus these friends might help you through hard times in the future too.
the Bear SG awww.... watching Animal Planet now.. some poor dolphin had a disease or something and the tail was damaged.. they're fitting a prosthetic tail
fudgester SG I think I'll be sleeping really soon... long day at work. First we had to cope with reduced manpower due to illness and a few people quitting. Then the platform doors at the Beach station jammed for one hour and had to be opened manually every single time the train came. Then some *bleep* jackass pressed the freakin' Emergency Stop Button at Imbiah Station... causing the entire system to freeze for several minutes until it could be reset. On top of that, the usual *bleep* morons who can't understand that loitering around on the station platform during peak periods will quickly cause congestion.... I mean, I understand that they want to enjoy the scenery, but please.... not at the cost of making others miss the train. That said.... I have no regrets working on the Sentosa Express.
Meia Gisborn SG The work experience and friendships made will last you a lifetime. So someone actually pushed the ESB?? Did they identify the joker and sanction him/her?
fudgester SG Not sure if they did that.... The one time when the button was pressed on my watch, I caught the little brat who did it. I took his passport from his parents (he's from India) and took down his particulars for me to pass on to my superiors. That's the SOP for such things. My superiors didn't take action against the kid, though.... they just kept his particulars for record purposes. There are no 'Fine: $5000' signs put up over the ESB.... this is a resort island, after all. It just has a sign that says 'For Emergency Use Only'. But it seems to me that some people really are so idiotic that they can only understand such signs when it can potentially hurt them in the pocket.
fudgester SG Anyway, time for me to be sleeping now. Will be giving tuition in the afternoon... it wouldn't be fair to my students if I turn up dishevelled and groggy. Seeya guys. *me mysteriously disappears in a puff of smoke*
viciouskitty74 SG went out lunch with sis and baby gal. then halfway thru the lunch, sis asked me why I am smiling. I told her, I remembered that time when I was at the case of the man doing the cat in Bishan.
fudgester SG It's only 7.40pm, and I'm already feeling sleepy. I gotta sleep early tonight.... I gotta wake up at 4.30 am tomorrow.
fudgester SG I'll be taking the first shift tomorrow. 6.15 am - 2.45pm. Someone has to man the monorail stations when the first train comes at 7 am, and the person manning the Beach station would be..... yours truly. They would send taxis to pick up those who are doing the first shift from their homes. The thing is, since I live pretty far away from Sentosa and all taxis are shared, the taxi would have to pick me at around 5.15 am. Oh well... the first shift is the slackest shift of all. And it's my last day of work.
