ShrodingersCat SG hey me too! I lived at jalan kayu and when I was young, I used to cycle by myself with my doggy past seletar airbase and those old 'ghost town' kampongs to the yishun dam and just hang around there. sounds good to me. I enjoy exploring all the new places. A few places I would want to explore but have not done so yet would be punggol river and kampong area and the khatib bongsu area....
hisoka SG erm lets see. 5 hours of sweating like a pig and labouring across the wilderness with insects, spiders, lizards, snakes, wild animals, etc. doesn't sound appealing + i thin i will be bored by the half hour mark
ShrodingersCat SG go at night then when its cooler.. and u might get to see glow in the dark fungus.. I think a good guide is important when u are 'introduced' to nature.. someone who likes it enough and has the knowledge and is able to share with you the things you see so it doesn't just become a mass of green stuff but has personality.
Kenashi SG doesn't look like it, their cameras are pointing downward, with a bunch of flashlight attached to it. i wonder whether the insects might be scared to death after one shot yap, saw a lot of durian trees while i was there.
LazerLordz SG yeah it's around there.. I'm thinking if it's possible to hike from Chestnut Drive to Macritchie..
ShrodingersCat SG Yes you can. You can trek from chestnut drive to bukit timah.. and once u r at bukit timah u can go to macritchie in fact u can do the entire route.. macritchie->peirce-> mandai forest -> bukit panjang to woodlands takes the whole damn day in a good weather though.
Kenashi SG that's meant to happen i remembered during my time, we lost 6 persons in our platoon, they didn't make it, pass out but still gone to the parade
deathscythe99 SG Belukar Trail? Dunno the name of the trail....but walked before Quite a distance...and I used it during my army Navigation Exercises before
ShrodingersCat SG thanks.. but i managed to find the correct way already just that when i went for my recce it was at night and I could not see the trail clearly... when i returned day time it was very clear!
Ferret SG I dunno abt this trail. But I heard someone mentioned walking from Ang mo kio to tampines in 2.5 hrs
