I took his comment to imply that the male's choice of food for a
meal overrides any preference that the female might have, and
not about which party has
a more voracious appetite.
I, too, hate to see food wasted at the table, and don't really care
who eats more, as long as the food is completely consumed. You
know, starving kids in Africa and all that PC crap.
