Well, I usually collect the lipsticks, blushers and the accessories and ship it to my sister in Sg. She's not having it easy and buying stuff like that is a luxury. I try to help whatever I can. Oh, it's been so COLD!!!! Spoilt with a mild January, minus 23 seems nasty. To think I braved minus 40s in the early 90s. Weathermen calling for flurries for the rest of the week and it is only Tuesday, today! You know what warm one's heart? Hubby called home last evening and was surprised that I was home already. He was worried about me driving in the blowing snow so was checking on me. I usually "pau pin an" during bad weather but I didn't think yesterday was bad. Anyways, it brought a smile to my face to know that he cared.
Rhonda SG Her workload's too heavy. One of the reasons I was never nasty to her was cause I kinda felt sorry for her too. Apparently, a lot of nurses are after her because all their applications have been stalled too. jetta, you cannot imagine how difficult this is ... so near, and yet so far!
jetta SG What a nice sister you are. Pei fu. Don't know how you tahan living in those conditions. I met a couple who used to live in Toronto. He's Sgprean and she's M'sian. He was temporarily sent to his company's LA office and after spending 3 months here, he asked for a transfer. That was in the early 90s and he's been here ever since.
