jetta, how’s house hunting?

the Bear SG

yeah.. i know a lot of the sgforums denizens Wink

Yesterday's hunt location was nice. The townhome I saw online and was lusting over, someone made an offer yesterday. I saw several others in the same complex and liked it. So my realtor is taking me back there with the family, this Sunday. Apparently the housing market here is cooling off a little. Time to strike!

I've never patronize ebay and actually don't even know how it works although I do have many items which I could put up for sale. Razz

I usually buy stuff when they go on sale. Over here, the sale is a sale. For example, like a box of tissue? On regular, it sells for C$1.19 but on sale, it goes for 59 cents.

I try to stretch my dollar but then splurge on facials and massages. Embarassed

Yah boy, that's why I love shopping here. If you time it right, you can save big.

i am lazy, everything using Word's spell check

Mr. Green

littlestream SG

Ah, good for you. But if you go that up north, how's the commute for your hubby? I guess you don't have to contend with weather unlike us eh? Wink

littlestream SG

So are you a flyer or coupon shopper? I am. Embarassed

littlestream SG

I think that's why they have this feature leh. Razz

I think we lost brey.

The place we saw up north, the owner countered. He wants 385 (we offered 340) and wants us to take over by the first of the month. No can do because I can't find someone to take over my current rental lease in that short time. Oh well. This place is an hour's drive one way for hubby. (About 1638 sf.)

The ones I saw yesterday, only a 30 min commute one day. Much smaller home, only 1344 sq. I'll have to sell some stuff to fit.

jetta, you are not watching the olympics? now that AI is up to the last 24, any fav yet? got one black cha boh, very loud. surprised they actually put her through, with that attitude. and that grey hair guy, he reminds me of ray charles although he’s white.

jetta SG

I've been watching for about an hour now. Mr. Green Today show just started. My morning ritual.

AI? Now you're talking. My fave is that Catherine McPhee and that Kelly something. The one who's father is in and out of jail? Oh and that prematurely grey guy Tyler/Taylor? You neh?

jetta SG

And one more thing about AI. I'm soooooo glad those horrible twins are out. Can't stand them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mad

littlestream SG

Wah, 385 quite steep leh. is it because it is CA?

what's your current lease? a year? what's the penalty to break it?

i used to live in a village up north and worked downtown. the commute was like 3 hours each day, return trip. oh, i hate it. now? i work mid town and live just outside the greater toronto area. commute now is half an hour. what a relief. and the mobility of a car allows me to grocery shop any time of the week.

you know when i told my friends back in s'pore that all i want to do after work is to get home? they are like Shocked Shocked they say "this is NOT the littlestream they know." ah.....i have changed. domesticated and aged. Embarassed

littlestream SG

i thought you are a fan of price is right. Mr. Green of all the game show, i only like jeopardy.

littlestream SG
