av98m SG Rhonda, I got the Saw vcd, so you no need to buy. Saw 2(which is even better) not out yet. And another excellent movie is The Descent. You must get it after it is released.
Rhonda SG Reminds me of the time when I got traumatised playing this horror game on the 286 - one of the first PC games I played! It was late at night, the lights were off, my headphones were on... and I was exploring a haunted house on screen when suddenly, outta nowhere, a zombie jumped out and scratched me to death!!! I jumped outta my seat, my heart thumping madly!!! The sound effect was scary!! I was unprepared for how real it all looked, it looked like it was struggling to jump out of the monitor and scared the hell outta me! I didn't know my brother was watching from behind and he laughed and laughed when he saw my reaction!

Rhonda SG Orh! Waaaaah... can watch "Saw" liao! Everytime a horror movie's out and I watch the trailers, I get sooo excited but at the same time, apprehensive that it might be a disappointment. I wanted to watch The Descent at the cinema cause the trailers were exciting... but then, my indecision over whether it would actually turn out to be scary or not and thus whether it would be worth my while or not dragged on so long that the show ended before I've made my final decision... which was, no decision!
Rhonda SG I agree with the first two but the third... hmm... gotta be selective cause a few of them are good, the rest - wait till the VCD's are out!
av98m SG I know what you mean, a lot of trailers actually show the only good parts that will be in the movie! But trust me, The Descent was fantastic. I will be buying the DVD when it is released, even though I already watched it in the cinema. Ditto for Saw 2.
chunyong SG whispering stairs...lame : heng i watched it FOC ju-on dat stupoid kid, think its lame, have to be lame and proved to be lame anyway, whether its Jap or Korean...all will be lame for all values of X greater than 'The Ring 1' Typically they give u a few scares dat last 0.5 - 1 second, it will happen more than once definitely but less than thrice...interval will more more than 3 mins apart but lesser than 15...dats wat Jap/Korean movies offer...cheap thrills...so u can roughly estimate when the next cheap scare will be....yawn....Next pls

av98m SG How about a horror movie where the main character returns to work after a splendid vacation to find 500 urgent emails in his/her inbox and new emails keep coming in for no reason? And his/her colleagues and bosses suddenly behave strangely as well. He/she finds that suddenly he/she does not have any friends at work! All ex-friends now become enemies and the whole organisation seems possessed! If a movie like that came out I'd be scared watching it. Oh, and addition of some gratituous nudity helps.
Rhonda SG Actually, there's a Korean horror movie where some freaky email with an attached video clip gets circulated and then people start dying - White Room. Looked promising, but within the first few mins into the show, it fell flat on its face. A Korean horror movie that was pretty entertaining was hmm... can't remember the title but it was about people receiving phone calls from this weird no. and then they die. The plot was pretty good.
av98m SG I have this Japanese horror movie called the Red Room. Not for the faint hearted. Its about a bunch of people playing a game for a million dollar prize. Very, very, very sick and twisted. Needless to say you can't get it locally. I downloaded it before the bitorrent sites came under attack.
Rhonda SG The movie with the trailer that told-all was "The Island"! After watching the trailer, you don't need to watch the movie anymore cause you more or less would know what the entire movie is about liao!
