Ito_^ SG the phone.. funny thing was when the person didn't pick up, the curse got sent by video mms.
CryoLind SG i love horrors... but always no khaki to go with me.. n i think watching in cinemas is best! Sometimes i 'll sit down there waiting n thinkin whether i will regret gg anot..cos it may be lame or too scary for me... But so far.. not much scare me out of my wits yet.. I think Shutter is not bad.. Korean ones suck... Japanese after 'The Ring' is all bullshit.... The maid is ok..but d sound veri Ci er... The Eye...i watch at home..not scary should go to cinema...
Rhonda SG Wah! Sounds like the RA Jap movies they showed here - The Suicide Club and Empire... something. Those will never be released on VCD here because they're too gruesome!
Rhonda SG Aiyah... pai seh... not Empire something... the movie I mentioned together with The Suicide Club is "Battle Royale". Weird... a bunch of school students let loose on an island and instructed to kill each other. Lots of innovative ways to kill someone in there!
Rhonda SG Now, this is Battle Royale : You may read a review for this movie here : http://www.bizarreingredients.co.uk/japan/a/battle/battleroyale.htm
Rhonda SG Has anyone else watched "Natural Born Killers" in here? When I first watched it, I was young and pretty naive and didn't quite know what to make of it. It's upon reflecting on the movie later that I realised what a powerful movie it was! A cult classic! I sooooo wanna watch all the Quentin Tarantino movies! Kill Bill and Kill Bill 2 were awesome! He's the only Hollywood director who was able to borrow effectively from Japanese horror movie effects. Look at the Hollywood versions of The Ring and Dark Water... lame in comparison to the originals, right?
elindra SG Ooooo I love Kill Bill and Kill Bill 2 though I think Kill Bill is better. It's kinda like a tribute to alot of stuff but he made the violence look like art
CryoLind SG Yes..Battle royale..i've watched it on VCD..forgot where i got it from. Note down to search for 'Red Room'
Rhonda SG Oh yeah! Kill Bill's waaaaay better! Lucy Liu did a good job in that movie! She was ruthless and bloodthirsty!
av98m SG I LOVED it! Both as an entertaining movie and as a social commentary. I have Battle Royale 2 btw. Not as good as the original though.
Rhonda SG Battle Royale 2 was never screened here. But hmm... hard to outperform the first one. That had a shock factor that cannot be duplicated cause the audience can only be shocked once!
Kuali Baba SG I hate horror movies...but the best one I've watched is '28 Days Later'. And I loved that spoof titled 'Shawn Of The Dead'.
