littlestream SG Wow! Sounds like a pro at hand. Thanks for the tip. I never knew that. I've always been afraid of splattering oil. Not only on me but on my stove too. Yeah, I am a clean freak. But butter and then with a little salt. Isn't that a bit too salty? Okay, skeujin.......looks like I am the one needing sleep. You have a good nite and a wonderful weekend! See you next week.
stellazio SG YES!she's the module leader, but not my lecturer.. never seen her b4 though..my lecture attendance is 0%..
Rhonda SG Ah well, feeling pretty moody. Still feeling weak and woozy. Yet, I have to turn up for morning duty tomorrow. I sure hope it'll be an easy shift!
Kan_i SG flu and u still cant have a sicky? now as a nurse isnt that kinda risky for both yourself (you may catch something due to your weaken immune sys) and passing to patients?
av98m SG What! You're sick and still have to take care of other sick people? Are you really that shorthanded at work?
Rhonda SG They don't care about that. We're extremely short-handed at the moment and even if you're sick, they'll still complain about you taking MC. Better to just turn up and pray that it'll be an uneventful shift. Not that I want to pass my flu on to others but I really don't have much choice. Believe me, I'd much rather stay at home.
Rhonda SG Yeah, we are. They sent about 100+ nurses for the Advanced Dip program without replacing anyone so currently, ALL wards are short of staff, some more severely so than others. Plus, there are the usual resignations too. So those left behind are overstretched.
Kan_i SG Hmm thats real tough... quickly come over to Australia and get lazy till we abolish sicky too
Rhonda SG Y'know, a freshly-graduated nurse I know who just started working this July was so exasperated once she complained about how difficult a particular 'A' class patient was. I pointed out to her that all thanks to our govt, they just want to attract foreign patients to our hospital BUT, they did not think about increasing the manpower and other resources to meet the naturally higher demands of these foreign patients and their families. Naturally, think of what this will do to staff morale in the long run.
