the Bear SG i've eaten the canned version, i've eaten the fresh version, i've eaten the dried version... the humble see-hum tastes a lot better.. expensive or not, it does not matter to me.. it's the taste and texture that matters...
Wanda SG Buy the pacific clams....they're good enough for me...and costs only $7 per can. I like Victoria brand....those 'branded' new moon is nothing. BTW, SBS, ask u: is short-grain rice the same thing as calrose rice?
the Bear SG i think the guy's an idiot.. the amount of crab in each shotglass is about the same as one of the little legs! anyway, cult leader!! what time?
Meia Gisborn SG Here we go again, talking about food... I guess Singapore didn't get a reputation as a food lovers' paradise for no reason.
Wanda SG I cannot find short-grain rice leh...want to make risotto....the recipe calls for arborio rice which we dun have here. My friend say can substitute with short grain rice.
Fatum SG That is on my to-try list ... my sis says it's pretty tasteless .... to the uninitiated tongue it's like rather bland sashimi ...
the Bear SG yeah... coz the bloody arts central fellas got an angmoh "chef" to do something which is like the local cuisine.. 2 sri lankan crabs turned into 6 small little shotglasses of some chillied nonsensical crab shots... chicken rice balls got turned into breadcrumbed fried risotto with chicken terrine.. a lot of work to reduce yummy local food into miniscule portions... this time, he turned one HUGE chicken into a few medallions of "terrine"
