dragg SG why blame the mother under the circumstances? it is always easy for us to say something after the fact. we might not react sensibly when it happens to us. she must have been very panicky then. it is a very 'natural' to think of flagging down a cab and rush immediately to the hospital.
shinta SG it's always faster for an ambulance. let's talk about traffic. ambulance can disregard traffic rules like the red n green man.. they can speed. simple as that.

dragg SG what the taxi driver should have done is drive her to the hospital. on the way he can call control station to tell a traffic police or ambulance to meet him half way. the ambulance ostensibly can help the kid or the traffic police can clear the way. in the first place the police should have helped. he is in a way licensed to speed in an emergency. anyway i dont think the taxi driver is wrong if he speeds too.
shinta SG is he obliged to do that in the first place? how would the police have known whats the matter when all he might have heared was a horn? thats what u think. is that acceptable in sg law?
dragg SG saving a life is everyone's imperative. i dont know if it is acceptable but there is a saying 'falubuwairenqing'. i am sure that the authorities wont take action against him for speeding when he is trying to save someone's life.
