Rhonda SG Too much salt DOES worsen water retention. That's why it's not advisable for hypertensive folks to have too much salt intake because their fluid levels will rise, which means a greater blood volume, which means more work on the heart which has to beat harder / more often to pump that larger blood volume around the body, and the blood vessels have to start dilating to accommodate the volume.
Wanda SG Guess you have no worries....no one can ever accuse you of being a SNAG or metrosexual...haha...
rainee SG Hmm, controlling your water intake wun have any effect on water retention...in fact shud drink more water even during PMS and you are suffering from water retention during those period... I think it is caused by too much salt intake, and sugar oso...
coffeeortea SG oh yah, and shinta, do you have msn? can pm me your hotmail? i think i give u my MS acc bah, i dont think i will be able to play it for now =D. feel free to do anything to the char, i might just log in once in awhile to play play ^^
Rhonda SG Erm... you should just drink the normal amount of water, not less and certainly, there's no reason why you should consume much more.
rainee SG Ah found it...I guess it says drink the normal amount of 6-8 glasses per day, but I rarely drink more than 5 glasses per day But during my PMS I try to drink at least 6 glasses...Here's the reason: Drinking lots of water helps to flush the body out and actually reduces premenstrual bloating... Wanda SG Can train? By holding on? Thought we were told it's not good to hold for too long? So what is the "by right - moderate to large amount" huh?
Rhonda SG You aren't supposed to hold it in for too long. But you aren't encouraged to run to the toilet each time you have a trickle either. Even for patients who are being weaned off the urinary catheter, we do a gradual 'bladder retraining' for them, to 'train' their bladder sphincter muscles to hold more urine. Moderate to large amount... unless you intend to pee into a measuring jug to measure, then I'll tell you!
