ditzy SG Coz they couldn't find a suitable FD. Ok lah, coz of movie limitations. Director don't want the movie to blow budget with an extended story line. One more character always means additional work.

choco B SG I know Initial D's really popular but I never bothered to find out more about this franchise.... race movie = good jay chou = bad rap r&b music = good rap r&b music in chinese/cantonese = bad race scenes in HK production = suspect? *Note the above is purely my personal opinion only! What'd clinch this movie for me are spectacular race scenes... and of course the cars. Any pics of the hotties? (the cars huh, not women)
[email protected] SG i guess, in the end, this movie is based on the anime storyline, which is more exciting. honestly with movies like these, who goes for the storyline? last i remembered, 2F2F didn't have a storyline either. didn't stop me from going to catch it tho.
Rhonda SG True! True! In movies like these, it's more like showcases for the fast cars. For most guys, they won't be complaining about the chiobu's who'll inevitably gather by the hordes, lingering around the fast cars.
Rhonda SG The movie will be released in China in late June, I read. The strategic thing would be to release it in early or mid-June... to coincide with the school holidays here. I'm sure that the majority of Initial D fans are pre-teens and teenagers.
