Hmm, it really depends. Some of them are really loyal. I guess to be faithful to you, best if you adopt a kitten. Then treat it well.
Then they won't think of leaving liao, because they don't know there's a world outside your house..~

I read a book that cats are the most human-like creatures in terms of nature of behavior. If you realized, every one cat is almost different in terms of behavior. The book also said that the felines are proud, selfish, smart, and most of all, territorial.

I had a cat who would have won the Cat olympic high jump if there was such a thing, everytime jump from ground into a hole about 15cm diameter located above the door to go to the balcony.

Just imagine. If he is not in the mood and you call him, he will turn his back on you!!! Oh he knows you are calling him alright! Call a few more times and he will turn back and look at you. Get up, walk further away from you and turn his back on you again!!! Sheezzzz

Oh he has proper training alright but he hates water so in the end I had to put him on a really high stool and force him to stand on his hind feet and bathe him. Mad

Only dog-like thing about him is:

1. He barks
2. He likes to play fetch
3. He chases after the mailman
4. He waits for me to come home

Cat-like quality he displays:

1. He hates my neighbour's dog but is good friends with their cat. He even shares his food with the cat
2. He is too dao to be a dog
3. If you want him to do a trick or do something, there better be a good reason for him to do it (be it his cane or a treat)
4. He hates water
5. He likes to sneak out of the house

i like both cats and dogs, there was this dog some time ago, huge dog, i was wearing this jrocker hyde tshirt, with his big face, and the dog kept barking at me.. ran a short distance, barked at me again, ran away a lil and barked at me again, and so on.

initially, i tot it was gonna chase me.. bt its the opposite way. dunnoe to laugh or cry. juz stared in amazement. there were some cats too, fed it with fish sometimes, and i could like carry it. really adorable.

nowadays i think he's just lazy... and at my parents' new place, the shower has got a nice solid glass door that he can't get out of... so i guess he "ren ming le"... hehehe Mr. Green

Prepare extra warm water... I know my cat like things really warm ...
He don't mind the bathing part but don't like the drying part.
He used to sit in the pail of almost hot water and let the water be poured over him.
Use care not to get water into the ears.
After that, usually to keep him warm and dry him fast (he's a mix breed with rather thick fur)
We had to use a hair dryer. Of course, he would not be happy
If you let him lick himself dry, his "sai" will be soggy too and it takes hours...
Licking also cause he to eat a lot of his fur and then later he will cough out hair balls.
One way to reduce fur loss is to ensure there is loads of fish oils in the diet... and more
if the cat is a long fur, thick coat type.
Most cats are very clean and cleaning is like their horly routine. The vets advised to wash them about 1 time a month... or 3 months ... cause everytime they are washed, they loose the natural oils that protect them

Okie this is really weird.
But there's no way i'm putting snowy through the trauma of getting a bath.
She might die of a heart attack.

I think its' weird cos this is the first i've heard of bathing a cat.
Cat and water are no no no..
She won't even go out when it's raining. You want me to put her in a big tub of water. OMG.. she's old, neurotic and from the RSPCA, if she was a kitten and she can get used to being manhandled into the tub it's ok... i'll consider it. Snowy might run away from home. I don't know anyone who bathes their cats and there are heaps of cat owners amongst my friends. Actually all of them have at least one cat.

Don’t need to bathe the cat ! They groom themselves. Just brush them regularly to prevent hairballs.

How to Bathe Your Cat (Part Deux)

Thoroughly clean the toilet.

Add shampoo to the toilet water and leave both lids up.

Obtain the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids (you may need to stand on the lid so that he cannot escape).

Keep all your body parts completely clear the edge, as his paws will be reaching out for any thing they can find.

Flush the toilet three or four times, providing a "power wash and rinse."

Have someone open the door to the outside and ensure that there are no people, antiques or other valuables between the toilet and the outside door.

Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.

The now-clean cat will rocket out of the toilet, and run outside where he will dry himself.
