Borrowing and loaning is actually in financial term, a smart move, no smart business will use their own money, and if you are investing on the future of your kids, no harm to get a loan, study well and be someone, pay back the due him or herself, rather than giving an opportunity but cannot go thru because father is a peniliess TD.

But if your children have the potential and get into a local U, you think just as a taxi drivers can sarpork those heavy expenditure?.....like last time?.....

Maybe I'm "unlucky", I have gone through every possible "route" of a taxi drivers cycle.....

And I'm talking about at least for the last 10 years, not 60s or 70s or even 80s.....

Very difficult to explain what I had gone through and I believe currently at least 70% of TD are like me last time.....

And I only hit my lady luck 2,3 years back, and after that than I realised why some TD can be so "ya ya papaya" in taxi driving.....

But my thinking is very different from many people, given me a chance to get out of TD life, I will sure get out, I will never be a sucker for the taxi coy.....

I did say before, when I law lan, lan lan got to peng steering, lan lan got to see taxi coy face, arbo how? knn everyday pay rental, pay diesel, bill come, don't know which holes to cover.....

And I'm a very hardworking TD hor.....

But given a chance, still be a sucker?....

My friend ask me, why don't drive taxi relax relax? and do other thing at the same time like some others.....

people who drive taxi are those that put down Liao, see open then they will feel ok. If you not yet put down, cannot see open and felt that being forced by your circumstances to drive taxi, then u will never feel happy.

If nothing had gone wrong last time, I will still be in the force today.....

Frankly speaking, if anyone would ask me what's my biggest regret in my life.....

You see Ah Fu, singapore is facing 2 teething problems in term of employment, especially for technical and engineering jobs. First, the aging population and second an afluent young Singaporeans.

Age do play a critical role as most cannot do physical works like climbing up a vessel or a construction site stairways. And also, with age, eyesight become poor, cannot do many minor view work like electronic assembly, reading, fault finding and so on.

On the other hands, a well educated youngs tends to look for servicing jobs like banking, retail and hotels industrial, many had also become cooks, chef and captain of restuarant or manager of hotels, notice the boom in hotels??

With such background, we definitely must need foreigners, but good foreigners. Govt had tweated the quotas ratio between Locals and Foreigner, like engineering, formely is 1 is to 5, now reduce to 1 is to 3, by next year, employer have to employ singaporean first, unless unable to get, then apply for foreigner subject to approval.

Increased S pass to 2200 from 2000 and also EP from 2800 to 3300 is going make many foreigner packing their bag home.

Hopefully, we can see a reduction

Personally I felt that if you are working for foreign boss, be prepare he will bring in whole board of "ka ki lang".....

If you are working for local boss, be prepare to do more OT and under paid until OBK....

I always believe is the "natural culture" of the bosses that result in today situation....

For eg, a company who want to save on that few $ and decided to employ a cheap FT to do estimater job....

Ended up, this under qualify FT might screw up your whole project and make your coy go bust.....

You think all bosses so stupid?.....

Overall, people might have this perception FT is snatching our jobs but we have to ask ourself also, is our position in the company really that critical? or slowly becum redundant?.....

Than be prepared to be replace by cheap labour lor.....

Not really, MNC are king of exploitation, especially so on asian countries, but due to our govt dependency and wanting to move up the industrial ladder, MNC was actually invited in, MNC brings about job that under pay you, MNC pollute your air, MNC bring about sweat shop working. road and way of life, MNC also can be of a danger of moving out as they like, and that is why too much depending on them become a victim of them.

MNC to human rights group are the biggest exploitation of human, can pay Messi and ronaldo millions to wear their product, but put only $1.60 for a day work for a child in yojakarta working under hold sole and hand bleeding sowning without medical benefit nor off day, if you sick, out you go, the next one take over. A total exploitation of the poor and weak and govt just take corrupted money from them.

Hyflux is government own run by retired general and colonels, it thrive in china rural area whereby they convert pond and dirty water to pure drinking water for those kampong china. As of Osim, not really a good business and certainly not MNC.

Even AirAsia failed miserably in Japan, because some country will paid for anything that come with quality instead of quantity. Typically, most asian countries including china alway look for quantity, more rice, more veges..but careless of quality, in japan and some europe countries like german, north america..quality is the most important.
