This taxi fare incease has nothing to do with voting for garmen , cabbies also in election ma .

We vote for garmen , and we also expect the garmen to deal with the oil $$$ increase .

Unlike buses , cabby is self-employ .

actuaslly if it goes to the taxi drivers, i’m not hapy but i accept it since the oil prices have risen and they do need to survive. but i think the rents etc will rise soon after so i guess it really goes back to those rich bugger which i’m not happy about

I gave them an e-mail , asking them to do something to the rental , they never respond .

I gave them another e-mail , asking the fare to be adjusted , they replied , it'll will be very soon .

Look like those a*s holes not going to do anything to the rental .

And LTA has the cheek to ask for Taxi service levy from taxi company .... $25 per month per cab last year .

they never asked for anything again .

By the way , one only need to pay ERP if he/she goes into the ERP zone , not when getting on-board from a ERP zone .

The Government actually does give companies transport allowances a tax cut , so many companies or MNC , in order to avoid paying high corporate taxes , they reimburse taxi fare for their employees .

Normal self-paid commuter how to compete with them ?

Their company pay for their transport , they just call a cab .

Just for your info , 90% of my customers everyday ( Mon-Fri) are corporate customers .

How do i know ? They want a receipt from me .

This fare hike doesn't affect me or ComfortDelgro's taxis .......

Comfort increase the fare is to deprive normal customers from taking the taxi from the Corporate customers , which is the main source of revenue for the cabbies .

Insurance = $1400 per yr
Inspection = $60 per inspection
Road taxes = $600 per year ?
car park (HDB) = $90 per month
coupons = $20 per month ?

hahaha...... buy a car because of taxi fare hike , typical Singaporean !
