1) The person deciding whether he wants to eat or not.

2) The food deciding whether she wants to be eaten or not.

I don't know. Want to try or not is up to the person, but if one thinks the ending is going to be the same, then it doesn't matter who gives him advice. He/she will still be stuck with that view.
