It is right that they ought to refund you the EZ-Reload amount. But perhaps they could at least have a cap amount or a hotline to cancel the EZ-link card if...

Wun the electromagnetic wave from the phone interfere when you tap? As in the mrt tapping plate produces error?

I saw many ppl tapping their wallet (with their ezlink card inside) and the plate shows error / not able to detect. No prob when they took out the card and scan it separately

It's the ammount of other cards inside ur wallet tat's disrupting the scaning... The scanner cant scan thru...

However i dunno if the scanner has an adverse effect on ur phone after long duration of usage like VK's...

cap is the maximum deductable price for that bus trip...

So......I got off a bus stop without tapping my card.

When I take another bus, they will deduct the $1.40 1st and then another amount when I alight from that bus right?

shld be... have not ytd experiment on it, though i remember reading abt the fare thing somewhere b4...

but the max deductable for different bus is different... those long distance bus is much more then those short distance townlink bus...

i think when u board the bus and tap, they deduct the max (yr current stop to ending point) and when u alight, then return u the balance

The maximum possible amount, as kindly explained by FrozenDuck, will be deducted.

However, you can try making a claim to get the balance amount back. You may wish to have a look at Q21 here for more information:
