If really BSD can store 53 trains instead of current 46, then it
means that UPD will be fully closed (Probably the substation is
closed) and this will take place:
A) 18 of the 35 UPD trains are going for a "long vacation"
(Actually 2 weekends la)
B) 7 of the 30 UPD trains will be deployed into BSD (53 - 46 =
7)
C) 10 of the 30 UPD trains will be deployed into CHD (40 - 30 =
10)
Well, since a large sector of EWL is affected, then they might
not even need that much trains in the first place.
By the way, I would like to ask, if they built a substation in
Pioneer or Joo Koon during BLE construction, then is it possible
for a Lakeside - Joo Koon shuttle service or still only a Joo Koon
- Boon Lay shuttle service in theory?
By the way, can somebody count the number of yellow train cars
SMRT has such that IF they deploy 2 yellow cars to attach on each
train's end, is it possible to run shuttle train service without
relying on 3rd rail? (And of course if someone managed to view the
TO cabin, inside got nobody one because the depot staffs / TO drive
the yellow car thing). If that is possible in theory (even if they
do not have sufficient yellow cars to implement my earlier
suggestion, will that affect PSDs open close door as well IF JEMP
takes place at 2012 or later) -- another theory question.
the closure is due to the tracks, not because of the service, as
you know that JEMP has 2 additional tracks, there is a need to be a
switch somewhere near JE so that it can be installed and maybe
intergrated to the existing lines
besides how to check if it s working fine w/o putting it to test
first?? night time don't tell much , day time theres the routine
service running by, so no choice, close the area to check for
daytime issues and maybe defects, thats is what i think that is
ongoing now and later, it would also explain why the services near
or at Jurong east is affected.
