A scrap dealer has bought the MRT carriage for $4,000. 5 mins
after he made the winning bid, an ITE staff wanted to buy the MRT
carriage from him.
An ITE spokesman said although there is no intention to purchase
the mock-up carriage at this moment, there is an interest to
procure onein future for the benefit of the Nitec on Rapid Transit
Technology students.
