I just took pics and vids of 003/004 before its ad removal. What's "significant" is that at that time, there were 2 CSOs on the platform, they saw me and i thought i will get into serious trouble, but instead, they smiled and say "Go ahead, anyway, this train and another one(007/008) will have their advertisements removed in some time".

Btw, coming this june hols, i will also sign up as Friends of SMRT.

They are not the only friendly CSOs. i encountered several on CCL, NSL and EWL and they will always say "go ahead, as long as you do not film what we are doing in the train cab."

1: CSO said that word 007 / 008

2: That was his speculation, given that the Sony Bravia Ad was already there for quite some time liao.

I see that the staffs in the West are rather strict, but if i wan random recording, must approach all the control offices of the srtations? That is troublesome. What i think is that when there is no CSO patrolling , record fast and get into a train. Thats wad i suggest for train enthus as i recorded a Do not Board train bypass without getting caught this morning, but yest, i was so "suay" for peak hr recording.

Orchard MRT station targeted by terrorists

JAKARTA: A senior Indonesian police investigator revealed yesterday that Singapore was a potential target for extremist groups in Indonesia and they had singled out the Orchard MRT station.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, he told The Straits Times that the Orchard station had been circled on a map of the MRT network found in the home of a terror suspect killed last week.

'Singapore obviously is a target. They planned to enter Singapore through Malaysia,' said the official, who has been involved in several high-profile counter-terrorism raids in Indonesia.
