Punishable offences also include:
- drinking plain water / mineral water
- drinking from a bottle
- eating sweet
- eating peanut
Mothers caught breast-feeding their child will be asked to
alight the trian and / or leave the station and do it
elsewhere.
Banning the eating sweets and peanuts is fair enough; we can all
live without that.
But plain water is banned too? To me that's just
overzealousness.
If I'm feeling faint due to dehydration, I still have to step
out of the train first before I can drink from my water bottle?
Sure, some dumb passenger might spill the water on the floor and
make it wet. But then in that case, they might as well ban all
passengers with wet shoes on a rainy day.
