what do you mean by " wouldn't drive the midnoght trains"? were you trying to say "ride" instead of "drive"? or are you a TO?

As for Din89, how old are you? You also have the dream to become a TO, same as me! But mostly all TO is malay is it? I hardly see Chinese a TO because i'm a Chinese, that's why i scare they might not want to recruit chinese. For forwalk-in interview, where is the places that i can walk-in interview? And also roughly how they base their salary?

Oh..i'm 20 this year.Yah,most TO are Malays but some are Chinese & Indians.I did attend de walk-in interview early last year @ JE station,even de interviewer is a Chinese..he told me that those posted for this job will undergo 6 months training..most likely @ Bishan Depot..

As for de walk-in interview,u can check it in de newspapers, preferably ST or de SMRT website:click careers,then click classified..

Walk-in interviews are conducted @ various MRT stations..

you sure not? 2012 there's not any more Train Officer to operate? Then like this, my ambition is gone?

As you mentioned that you went for the walk-in interview last year, you apply already? Will it be confirm that they will recruit us if we fill in their application form?

Nono.. PSD is Platform screen doors to prevent people from jumping onto the tracks. They still need a TO to operate the train

I am not a TO lah.

What I meant was that nobody will fall onto the PSDs are installed. Incidents of legs stuck in platform gaps will rise.

Be at least 18 yrs old and see how, also, a minimum is also to get a diploma certificate, if not 18 years old.

As for last year interview I attended,i was rejected on de spot cos i haven even started my NS yet..but at least i know what to expect if i was shortlist for de job.hahaha..

So,filling de form doesn't means u will be recruited straight away..it depends on luck.

As for Din89, i know that all jobs have to completed NS then can apply de. But what you mean 'at least you know what to expect if you was shorlist for de job?' Simplify can?:)

I also have an ambition to be Train Operator..

I met a driver and asked him some questions.. He's been driving the trains for 20 years already! He even asked if im interested, go and apply a job as a driver..

But, im only 15(going 16 in march)..So, maybe while waiting for N level results can work with SMRT as part time is it? I dont know..

I want to be a Train Operator because, its the experience that counts, not abt the salary. I don't mind being paid as low as 1k or such. I just want the experience of it..
