You need a good supply of air to aid in healing, and to prevent the colonization of certain anaerobic bacterias... GOOD! Razz

Yes... that's the term... mutation through it's reproduction of new bacteria, certain parts on the DNA or RNA of the bacteria get's deleted and produce a different strain of microbes altogether which survives against the antibiotics. Hence you have to kill all to reduce their chances of reproducing any clever ideas to bypass the meds...

They reproduce and the next time when you get reinfected again with the same species, the superbacteria will transmit their genes to the lamebacterias and both become super... and then you have to find another superior and more expensive meds to counter them...
