Got an extreme case, a 10 year old boy who is really not into needles... but we have to withdraw some blood to check on his condition...

Five staffs have to hold him down... but he kept moving, so cannot target properly... and he screamed and cursed his mother and the doctors and nurses there... saying YOU SYAITAN (You Devil!) JANGAN DEKATI SAYA (Don't come near me!) and got somemore lar...

In the end we have to bungkus (tapau) him up with the blanket and take the blood... sigh...

reminds me of this scene in charlie n e chocolate factory (did u watch tat anyone?) where e squirrels tested if e gal..veruca salt or something..if she was a bad nut..e squirrels knocked e head n heard a *tok *tok sound..and came to a conclusion tat she was a bad empty nut...

Yeah... I not really sure about what pavulon is... can anyone find out?

But I know there has been reported cases on mistakes made by junior doctors when they are too tired... they mistakenly inject a vial of KCl into the patient... straight away enter into arrhythmias and died...

Another one which we saw in the movies is the injection of an empty syringe where the air created enters the blood stream and is called an air embolism... it can damage the heart and the lungs and causes a tear in the pulmonary capillaries...

Oh yeah... just found out that Pavulon is Pancuronium... should be the same group under Suxamethonium which induces a muscle relaxant effect so that the patient won't struggle...

yeah muscle relaxant..:
Pavulon is a muscle relaxant used in surgical anesthesia. In large doses it can paralyze breathing muscles and cause respiratory failure. It is not a drug that might be used in intensive care.
